2. Mariam Ashram High School, Diang (Est. 1946 AD)
3. Don Bosco High School, Bandarban (Est. 1959 AD)
4. Saint Xavier's School, Pahartoli (Est. 1956 AD)
Brief History: St. Xavier’s School, Pahartali, Chattogram is an educational institution managed by the the Chattogram Catholic Archdiocese. On roughly four acres of land donated by the Bangladesh Railway, a church dedicated to prayer and Mother Teresa’s Adi Jyoti Nibas were founded in 1931. In 1956, the then Bishop of Chattogram founded St. Xavier’s School on around 80 (eighty) decimels of land in response to the needs of the Pahartali community.
The institution has a stellar reputation for conducting instruction since its founding. The head of the church schools, the Reverend Bishop, voiced his thoughts of adding upper classes to the organization during the 2011 annual meeting. In keeping with this, in 2014, following the launch of the sixth class, students from this school took part in the JSC examination under the auspices of another institution for the first time, with the Chattogram Education Board’s special approval. For three years running, the students at this institution have passed the JSC exam with a perfect score, making their achievements very remarkable. It should be mentioned that since the Primary Education Final Examination’s inception, excellent results—including a 100% pass rate—have demonstrated its accomplishment.
To create excellent citizens, teachers instill moral principles in addition to academic excellence. National Days are honored in a dignified manner. In addition to instruction, extracurricular activities include teachers’ day, educational tours, parent assemblies, yearly sports, scouting, debating competitions, painting competitions, literary and cultural programs, tree planting days, cleanliness weeks, etc. Every year, a number of teacher training workshops are held to improve the understanding of the curriculum. Computer labs and a well-stocked library have been established to broaden pupils’ horizons. Deserving and impoverished students can take advantage of free education. Chattogram City’s St. Xavier’s School is a haven of breathtaking natural beauty.

PRIMARY SCHOOLS
1. Don Bosco Primary School, Chattogram (Est. 1972 AD)
Brief History: Straight after the liberation war in 1972 a few visits to the people living around made the RND Sisters realize that there are hundreds of children who are deprived of their basic/ fundamental education. A short survey was made. It took some time to sort out the various age groups and intellectual abilities of the children who came to the sisters. The school started by giving the children an awareness of the necessity of personal cleanliness by giving them baths, combing their hair, etc. Now no longer these are required as they know quite well what is to be clean and tidy.
Don Bosco Primary School students are the children of fishermen, rickshaw drivers, cart-pullers, day laborers, and boatmen. Some Mothers work from house to house as maidservants. Some of the girls also work from house to house before they come to school in the afternoon. Most of these children are from low-caste Hindus. Some are Muslims and a few are Christians. Number of children varies in different years. So far, their number did not exceed 4 hundred. There are up to class V in the school. Classes are held for three hours in the afternoon from Monday to Thursday.
Though these afternoon classes are only for three hours, RNDM sisters try to teach them all we can after the basics, reading, writing, and counting. They have regular exams, recreational activities, annual sports, Prize distribution, Christmas Party, Cultural Day, Euphrasies’ Day, Patronal Feast Day (Feast of Don Bosco), etc.
Till now RNDM sisters are carrying out this Educational Apostolate to help a little in solving one of the biggest problems of our developing country and that is illiteracy. This program is carried out by our formation people and lay teachers.

3. OPA Literacy School, Chattogram (Est. 1992 AD)
Brief History:
OPA Literacy School (OLS) was founded in 1992 with the express objective of extending education care to underprivileged children. With a modest start, it was inaugurated at St. Placid’s High School by the Divisional Commissioner of Chattogram, AL haj Mohammed Omar Farooq on January 15, 1992. The OPA Literacy School (OLS) registered a steady growth ever since.
The School started functioning with only three classes i.e. Preparatory, Class I and II with Seven Lady teachers and ten OPA Volunteers, attending the students under the care of Rev. Brother Lawrence Subal Rozario, CSC, Headmaster, St. Placid’s High School. Now it imparts education to students upto class V. At present there are 250 students in the school taught by 9 teachers all of whom are ladies and who also belong to the vulnerable groups. Besides, there are two male staff and one office assistant. Thus the project not only provides free schooling to the underprivileged children but also creates employment opportunities for a number of persons.
